Emails Going to Spam
If NextStep emails are landing in spam or junk folders, here are some steps to fix it.
Mark as Not Spam
The quickest fix is to find the NextStep email in your spam folder and mark it as Not Spam. This tells your email provider to deliver future emails to your inbox.
Add to Contacts
Add the NextStep sending address to your contacts. This signals to your email provider that you trust emails from this sender.
Check Your Spam Filters
If you use custom spam filters or rules in your email client, check that they’re not catching NextStep emails by mistake.
For Gmail Users
Gmail can be aggressive with spam filtering. If NextStep emails keep going to spam:
- Open the email in your spam folder.
- Click Report not spam.
- Optionally, create a filter: search for emails from NextStep, click the filter icon, and select Never send to spam.
For Organisations with Email Security
If your organisation uses email security tools (e.g., Mimecast, Proofpoint, Barracuda), you may need to whitelist NextStep’s sending domain with your IT team.
If emails are consistently going to spam across multiple recipients, contact us and we can help investigate the issue.
