Setting Due Dates

Due dates help keep processes on track by setting deadlines for individual tasks.

Static due dates

A static due date is a fixed calendar date and time. Choose a specific date from the date picker.

Dynamic due dates

Dynamic due dates are calculated relative to when something happens in the process. This is useful for processes that run multiple times — the due dates automatically adjust each time.

You can set a dynamic due date relative to:

  • Another task’s completion — e.g., “3 days after Task A is completed”.
  • When the process starts — e.g., “1 week after the process begins”.

Configure the offset using:

  • Months
  • Days
  • Hours
  • Minutes

Business days

Enable the Business days option to skip weekends when calculating due dates. For example, “5 business days after Task A” would skip Saturday and Sunday.

Due date indicators

Tasks with due dates show status badges:

  • Overdue — Past the due date.
  • Due today — Due within the current day.
  • Due soon — Approaching the due date.
