Analytics & Process Overview
Each process has an overview page that gives you a snapshot of how it’s performing — how many times it’s been run, how many are active, and how long they take to complete on average.
Accessing the overview
Open any process from your Process Library and click the Overview tab (next to the Editor tab). This shows analytics for that specific process.
What you’ll see
Run statistics
- Total runs — the total number of instances ever created for this process
- Active runs — instances currently in progress
- Completed runs — instances that have been fully completed
Average completion time
The overview calculates the average time it takes to complete a process instance from start to finish. This helps you understand how long your workflows actually take in practice.
Run history chart
A bar chart showing the number of runs over time. Use the date range filter to zoom into a specific period.
Instance list
A table of all instances for this process, showing:
- Title — the instance name
- Started by — who kicked it off
- Progress — visual progress bar
- Status — Active, Completed, or Overdue
- Date started — when the instance was created
You can filter by status (Active, Completed, Overdue) and sort by date or progress.
Sent process runs
If you’ve shared the process via email invitations, this section shows who received an invitation, whether they’ve started, and their current status. You can resend invitations from here.
Using analytics
The overview is read-only — it’s for monitoring, not editing. To make changes to the process itself, switch to the Editor tab.
A few things analytics can help with:
- Spot bottlenecks — if average completion time is longer than expected, check which tasks are taking the longest
- Track adoption — see how many times a process has been run and whether usage is growing
- Follow up on invitations — check if people you’ve invited have started their process, and resend if needed
- Monitor overdue runs — filter for overdue instances to find runs that need attention
